This course includes classroom and range time learning applicable state law and demonstrating firearms proficiency. 

Students learn the rules for safe gun handling; nomenclature of the pistol parts and their operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules and the proper application of force in a violent encounter.

CWP qualifications will be conducted with a DOUBLE ACTION ONLY pistol suitable for self defense: 9mm / 38 special thru 45. No magnum ammunition will be used on the range but the "SPECIAL" version of the caliber may be used.
